Challenge: Lottery

Blog Challenge - Day 14

Half-way through the challenge!  Are you tired of reading that random-ness that is my life?! 😉

Carry on.....

If I won the lottery, I would buy Jim a few acres of waterfront property on Gull Lake with a bad ass fishing boat.

There would be room for a guest house for Bill and Charlene to spend the Summers in Minnesota.

This is what our evenings would look like.....

I'd take Delanie to Paris then buy her a flat in either New York City or San Francisco.

I would buy Tracey & Doug a home in Cozumel.

I would hire the best doctors in the world to treat Charlene's MS.

I would buy Garrett & Maci a house close to Jim and I on the lake.  Jim and Garrett could start a fishing guide service so they had an excuse to be on the water every day.

I would open a boutique that only sold items that gave back to the community.

Challenge: Earliest memory

Blog Challenge - Day 13

Instead of my earliest memory, let's talk about a few of my favorite memories.
Not following the challenge rules.......that's how I roll.  😎

Favorite memory #1

The first big snow storm after we moved to Minnesota.

I was in the front yard taking pictures (I know.....shocker!) while Garrett and Delanie made a snowman.  Garrett got a wild hair up his butt and stripped down to his boxers and ran down the street.  Y'all.....it was 15 degrees outside!
I almost wet my pants laughing so hard!

Favorite memory #2

During Delanie's first year of Marching Band, she played the quad drums.  They were as big as she was.  Jim and I were watching the show and she had a solo.  She nailed it!  I was so happy I started crying right there in the middle of the parade.

Favorite memory #3

Every single second of the long weekend Charlene and I spent in New Orleans last year.

Challenge: Fridge

Blog Challenge - Day 12

What's in my fridge?

Oh Lordy......if you knew how many arguments discussions Jim and I have had about this very thing!

Jim has a super-sensitive stomach so he's very particular about how food is stored.  On the other hand, I have an iron stomach so I think the instructions on food containers are more like suggestions.  😏

Perfect examples:  Pickles & Ketchup

I cannot stand cold pickles or cold ketchup.  I know it says "refrigerate after opening" but I would prefer to keep them in the pantry.

I've had to give in on the ketchup.  Thank goodness Jim doesn't like pickles.  :)

OK, what's in my fridge.....

Milk
Eggs
Three kinds of butter (what....why?!)
Bloody Mary mix
Apples that are two weeks old
Sugar cookie dough
Leftover fried chicken from dinner
(Jim will probably eat these before I wake up in the morning)
17 bottles of water
BBQ sauce (I put it on EVERYTHING)
Cream cheese
Enough cheddar cheese to cause a road block
Soda
Pepper jelly bought from a sweet lady at the Farmers Market
Salmon spread from the local deli
An unopened bottle of Limoncello from our trip to Italy

This reminds me that I need to make a grocery run soon.  😀

Challenge: Best feature

Blog Challenge - Day 10

I would have to say my best feature is my twisted sense of humor.

I'm the first one to laugh at myself.

I'm sarcastic 99% of the time.

The dirtier the joke, the funnier it is to me.

For some reason, I really have to get to know you before I open that part of myself up.  I think people are surprised at my sense of humor because I come across as shy or quiet when I'm really the opposite.

Challenge: Bad habits

Blog Challenge - Day 9

I'm an interrupter.  It's horrible......but I'm working on it.

I have absolutely no will-power.....especially with ice cream.

I am super stubborn.

I totally suck at follow-up.

I wake up really slow.  Trust me, you don't want to talk to me when I first wake up.  Let me come to you and we can stay friends.  😉
