Never to old to act like a kid!

At the first sign of snow, we decided to break out the sleds!  As you can see in the pics, there wasn't a ton of snow but that didn't stop us.  This "hill" is on the side of our house - between us and the neighbor - and has a pretty steep slope.  It's long enough to gather up some good speed but there's a problem.  At the bottom of the slope are landscaping rocks.  If you get that far, you face a three foot fall directly into the brush surrounding the pond.  We found this out the hard way. :)

Once the kids saw Jim and I laughing like lunatics, they decided to join in.  Everyone took turns pushing the other until we were exhausted.  I love the close-up picture of Jim and Delanie.  The look on her face is priceless - a mix between terror and joy.  :)  We have a picture of Delanie and PaPa going down the slide at Trail Dust Steak House that looks exactly like this one.  In both pictures, Delanie has a fist full of Jim & Papa's pants for safety.

Garrett was probably the biggest daredevil........big surprise!  He tried out the round sled instead.  Everything was fine until he reached the landscaping rocks.  Once he got there, he stalled and tipped over.  Needless to say, he walked back up the hill with his pants full of snow.  :)

I'm so proud!

This gives new meaning to the burning question "what do we do with leftovers?"....
